VIDEOS of ALHAURIN al GRANDE

and ALHAURIN de la TORRE

Alhaurin is situated very close to popular coastal resort of Fuengirola on the coast and Mijas some 30 kms West of Malaga and is surely one the most picturesque country villages on the Costa del Sol. It si really spliut into two areas, Alhaurin el Grande, the older area of the two and Alhaurin de la Torre which is the more modern part with many new properties being built over the last 10 years and has become a satellite town to Malaga businessman.

Alhaurin has become very popular as a residential area for the expat community as an alternative and more relaxed lifestyle to that of the busy costas. It is undoubtedly blessed with a all year round mild climate due to its position in the Guadalhorce valley between the Rivers Fahala and Blas Gonzalez with light north and west winds.

Like its neighbour Coin, and dues to its mild and privileged climate, Alhaurin is a major producer of fruit and vegetables. Oranges and Lemons are grown in abundance along with many other kinds of fruit and vegetables.

Alhaurin is the home of the Alhaurine Golf Resort a beautifully stunning if not challenging course set in the Sierra de Mijas mountains. The resort provides everything for the golfing enthusiast including a small 9 hole par 3 course which can be played all day for a very reasonable priced 20 Euros.
