With almost 5 Million passengers and 88.000 Flights in 2006 this is Spains 9th largest airport
in passenger terms. The traffic here has more than doubles in the last 10 years due to the
large number of low cost carriers from the UK and other parts of the EEC. 40% of its passenger
traffic is from other EEC countries.
The airport is swish and modern looking with a sparkling marble interior. The departures for domestic, community and international
flights are processed on the first floor of the main passenger terminal. Regional flights depart from the first floor which is connected to
the main passnger terminal from the outside.
