king of airports in Spain and handled almost 46 Million visitors and 435.000 flights

It is a sprawling complex located in the Jaramar Valley some 12 kms from the outskirts
of Madrid. In order to service the increasing traffic a new terminal was recently opened
making 4 in total. (T1, T2, T3 or T4). The main bulk of departures now exit from T4 although
you should check with your tour operator before arriving to make sure you are not left in another
terminal which may cause delays in arriving for check in at the correct time.
As you would expect from a top international airport most of the worlds largest airline
companies operate out of Madrid. There are regular flights from Gatwick, Heathrow,
Liverpool, Bristol, Dublin, Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh.
Also to be expected there is a wide and varied selection of shops, cafeterias, bars, restaurants
specialty shops , the best of which are being located in the new Terminal 4 building which offers the most modern facilities.
