LLORET DE MAR - Costa Brava

From Around Spain - SpainGuides.com

Lloret de Mar is a popular tourist town and resort located on the shores of Costa Brava in north east Spain, about 75 kilometres from its second largest city; Barcelona.

Lloret de Mar has sprouted over the years to become a featured package holiday destination from a wide array of European countries. The influence of rich cultures, such as the Roman culture, have left many beautiful landmarks and legacies in Lloret de Mar's historical record.

Lloret de Mar boasts a vibrant nightlife which attracts an 18-30s crowd from many countries. The town also offers various stunning, white-sandy beaches, the largest one of them being nearly two kilometres long; these beaches have the honour to be presented with Blue Flags constantly.

However, Lloret isn't all 'sun, sand and sangria'. The town has over a dozen of historical sites to visit, including chapels, sanctuaries, museums and ancient settlements. In conclusion, Lloret de Mar has something for everyone; whether you prefer beaches, history, sightseeing or nightlife is your choice, one thing is for sure, Lloret de Mar provides a complete holiday experience on the fabulous Costa Brava Coastline.
