" After more than 12 years closed and two years since its reopening, El Chaparral Golf Club has become one of the most recognizable courses on the Costa del Sol. This is thanks to the efforts of Mr Antonio Rubio, who has put the course into the hands of Aymerich Golf Management, a company operating more than 25 golf courses in Spain.
In the two years since reopening its success has been assured by the exceptional surroundings, facilities, quality of service and value for money. A unique panorama of the surrounding scenary can be observed from every hole. The magnificent sea views, rich vegetation, and the perfume of pines trees have turned El Chaparral into a natural and golfers paradise. The course consists of 18 holes situated in one of the most privileged settings on the Costa del Sol. Close to the sea only 700 metres from the beach surrounded by a forest of pine trees, El Chaparral offers what every golfer is looking for tranquillity. Designed by Pepe Gancedo, it isthe only course on the Costa del Sol made up of 6 par 5īs, 6 par 4īs and 6 par 3īs. Though not a course excessively long (5,800 metres), you will find a large variety of holes that are enjoyed by players of all levels. It is a course that requires skill and accuracy, with greens that you will find in fantastic condition all year round.
Easy to access -at 700 metres from the N340 main road-. It is located at the beginning of the Mijas Golf Valley, a destination for golfers worldwide."
The picturesque Club House at El Chaparral is situated in a prominent position at the heart of the urbanisation. With panoramic views over the golf course and the sea, its position overlooking the 1st tee and 18 th green is ideal. It has been constructed on two levels and provides all the normal facilities expected within a quality golf club and more.
On the top entrance level you will find a well stocked pro-shop, a charming restaurant divided into various areas providing varying levels of intimacy, a TV and lounge area with plenty of outside space and spectacular views over the course and the surrounding pine forests,
On the lower level is which is accessed by a covered walkway and from the restaurant entrance area you will find the changing rooms a hair and beauty salon and the in-house club fitting service.
Overall the Club House is conceived in a Mediterranean style combining rendered white walls, antique tiled roofs and old wooden beams, allowing a pleasant balance between function and ambience. As would be expected with a building of this quality it is sure to become a pleasant place to meet and relax in, enhanced by the beauty of the landscaping which is always synonymous with courses designed by Pepe Gancedo.
