The Alhaurin Golf Complex is nestled on the south west side of the Mijas mountains and is arguably one of the most visibly spectacular course
on the coast with fantastic views over looking coast and mountains and wild countryside from all over the course.
The course , designed by Severiano Ballesteros, fits perfectly into its natural surroundings . There are up to 6 different teeing areas at each hole and thus the course can be adapted to any level of difficulty. It is a course in which the player must think all the way, very hilly and picturesque with fantastic views over the Coast. The player must think about each club to be used. Yes it is quite challenging for beginners, however the bark is worse than the bite playing here and the rewards for playing it are undeniable
There is also a picturesque 9 hole par 3 course which is great value for money and will improve your short game and approach play no end.

Alhaurin Golf is situated only 20 minutes from the coast and is quite simply a breathtaking and quality golf course that sits majestically high above the coastal region of Fuengirola and Mijas Costa with the picturesque white mountain village of Mijas only 10 minutes drive away.
Alhaurin Golf first opened in 1993 and although a challenging course which allows you to use every club in your bag, is not
as menacing a course as the locals would have you believe. It offers an 18 hole course designed by Severiano Ballesteros
and each hole is quite different to the last and surrounded by a beautiful landscape of a mixture of Mediterranean trees although
they never overpower the spectacular views that are visible from all parts of the course.
One of the finest parts and best kept secrets of the Alhaurin Golf complex is the striking and well kept 9 hole par three course which snakes right around the ample driving range, chipping and putting area. This is the ideal place to really work on and improve your whole game and for just 20 Euros you can spend the whole day on this excellent Par 3 course, great value indeed.
