Location:
Zaragoza Airport is located in the historic province of Aragon in the north of Spain some 10 km west of the city centre and approximately 260 km northeast of Madrid.
The Zaragoza's appeal lies in the fact that it has been left relatively untouched by tourism: most travelers know it only as a train station on the way from Barcelona to Madrid. Those who take the time to get off the train are rarely disappointed. The old town is full of authentic Spanish restaurants, and Aragon cooking is superb.
Attractions include the Aljaferia castle, the greatest Moorish edifice outside Andalucia, the Roman Forum and Theatre of ancient Caesaraugusta, and the Basilica del Pilar, one of the most famous sanctuaries of the Virgin Mary in the world.

The Zaragoza airport is a joint military facility currently mid table in terms of passenger traffic with over 751.000 travellers processed in 2011 which is an increase of 24% on 2010, there where 11.400 flights. The increase in passenger traffic and flights is due to its geographical position in the heart of Spain which has grown over 70% in the last 3 years. This trend is set to continue and Aena are investing heavily in the modernising the airports
infrastructure which was put in place for the Zaragoza International Expo in 2008 and was an important boost to the local economy.
Arrivals:
The Zaragoza airport terminal is used for both internal and international flights. There are three baggage reclaim carrousels and one for special baggage.

There are 14 check in desks in the lobby area of the main terminal.

The new passenger terminal was opened to celebrate the Zaragoza Exp of 2008. The main theme of the Expo was water, hence, there are four structural modules in the form of waves.
