Tenerife South or called the Reina Sofia airport is now the 7th largest airport in Spain in relation to air passenger travel with over 8.656.840 Million travellers being processed in 2011, that was an increase of 17.6% on 2010. Holiday makers from all over the EEC flock to visit the Tenerife and the other Canary islands mostly in the winter months to escape the colder northern climes due to its fantastic all year round climate which on average 26 degrees even in the winter months

Arrivals: Passengers arriving at Tenerife Sur will disembark using one of the eight air bridges that connect directly to the terminal or by airport passenger bus. Once in the building, there are two baggage reclaim areas, each with seven baggage reclaim carousels.

Departures: All departures traffic comes in through the ground floor of the passenger terminal. The departure area has an area of 10,800 square meters and with a capacity for 3,000 passengers at peak rush hour. There are 87 check-in desks and 37 boarding gates. Once they have checked-in their baggage and waited for their flight being called, they must go through customs to access the departure area located on the first floor of the terminal which also has a large shopping area.

Catering & Shopping The commercial zone including an extensive shopping area with enough shops , cafes and a duty free is located on the ground floor.

Parking: The general car park area P1 is conveniently located a close to the main terminal..
