The Reus airport is ranked 13th in Spain as far as passenger traffic is concerned having handled around 1.362.472 Million passengers in 2011 on 21.494 flight operations. The airport is ideally located and only one hours drive away from Barcelona.

There are some major works being carried out at Reus airport on a new check in terminal. In the winter of 2010 Reus Airport will be offering two new regular routes, one to Santiago de Compostela and another to Dusseldorf-Weeze (Germany), both of these being operated by the Irish airline Ryanair.

Departures: The new departures lounge is now in full operational after a major overhaul of its facilities. There are 23 check in desks. There are two lounges, one for Schengen destinations flights and other for non Schengen flights. The boarding gates 1 to 6 are located in the lounge used for Non-Schengen flights; from 7 to 12 in the lounge for Schengen flights

Catering / Shopping: You will find a few shops, cafeterias and other facilities for children, enough to keep everyone occupied before departure.

Parking: Most of Car Park-1 is destined for employee and disability use so make your way to Car Park 2. This area has a capacity for 513 with 15 for those travellers with reduced mobility, It is open 24 Hours a day and costs are : From minute 0 to minute 30, €0.014389 per minute; from minute 31 to minute 60, €0.017987 per minute; from minute 61, €0.013490 per minute; daily maximum up to four days €9.05; daily maximum as from the fifth day, €7.25.
