Lanzarote airport, despite its modest geographical position and size it still handled 5.545.803 million passengers in 2011 with 49.675 flight operations, an increase on 12.3% on passenger numbers over the previous year.

Arrivals: Arrivals are divided between T1 (domestic and international flights) and T2 (inter-island flights).The arrivals area in T1 is located on the ground floor of the terminal. It has six standard baggage reclaim carousels and one for special baggage. For a arrivals using the T2 area there is a baggage reclaim carousel, a lost property office, a cafeteria and a multi-shop.

Departures: traffic is divided between TERMINAL 1 (T1) for domestic and international flights and TERMINAL 2 (T2) for inter-island flights. In T1 the departures area is on the first floor. There are 42 standard check-in desks in total and 1 for special baggage. Here you will find a range of shops and refreshment facilities and the Guacimeta VIP lounge. From the boarding area, passengers proceed to the twelve boarding gates that operate in T1. T2 has 6 check-in desks and 4 boarding gates (P1, P2, P3 and P4). In the departures area there are numerous shops and a cafeteria.

Catering / Shopping: There is a very good shopping area at the airport including a chemist, fashion shops, optician, duty free area for wines, spirits and tobacco, sports goods, jewellers and a newsagents.

Parking : There are two parking areas T1 and T2. T1 has space for 1.047 vehicles , 49 coaches and a further 310 spaces for the car hire companies. T2 has a further 207 spaces and 60 for the car hire companies. Parking charges are: All or part of the first half hour, free. Price per minute: From 31 minutes to 60 minutes, €0.017682; from 61 minutes, €0.016844. Maximum daily rate up to 4 days, €10.60; maximum daily rate from fifth day, €8.50.
