Gran Canaria Airport is located on the Bay of Gando on the east coast of the island
is 25 kilometres from one of the main tourist centres of the Canary Islands –the southern area– and 18 kilometres from the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The airport is located within the municipalities of Teidi and Ingenio.

The Gran Canaria is the gateway to millions of visitors who visit the Island each year. Once again it was the 5th busiest in Spain in 2011 handling an incredible 10.538.811 passengers on
over 111.000 flight operations.
Arrivals: All arrivals take place on the ground floor of the passenger terminal which is divided in three zones: Flights from Zone A are for European Union countries. Zone B is for f lights from non-European Union countries and Zone C for Inter-island flights.
Departures: Departure check in is located on first floor .Gran Canaria Airport has 96 check-in desks. All the destinations are indicated on the information screens at the terminal entrance. The airport has 38 boarding gates, organized into three zones: A (European Union flights) B (non-EU international flights) and C (island or regional flights). In these zones there are 27, 6 and 8 gates respectively. Zones B and C share 3 boarding gates.
Catering / Shopping : There are more the enough shops and cafeterias to satisfy every traveller.
Parking: There is plenty of parking at the airport which currently has 1.558 spaces, 32 are reserved for people with reduced mobility. There are 7 automatic payment machines which accept euro coins, notes and credit card payment. The parking charges are: First half hour or part thereof, free. Price per minute: Minute 31 to 60: €0.017682; after minute 61: €0.016844. Maximum daily up to 4 days: €10.60; maximum daily after fifth day: €8.50.
