Granada airport is at the moment more of a regional facility rather than international one although this part of Spain is becoming ever more popular with travellers so the numbers will be steadily growing in the coming years. Expansion work is currently in progress to accommodate the increase. The airport handled 872.672 passengers in 2011 with 13.142 flight operations.

The baggage hall leads to the arrivals hall, which has a capacity of 399 and includes car hire offices, cash machines, toilets, and a waiting area.

Departures: Departures operates from the ground floor of the terminal building. The departures hall has capacity for 486 passengers and the boarding lounge capacity for a further 380 passengers. In the departures area, in addition to the check-in desks, has a shopping area, a restaurant and cafeteria zone, and a waiting area for passengers and persons accompanying them.

Catering/ Shopping: Although the airport is relatively small there is small shopping area, a restaurant and cafeteria zone.

Parking: The parking area is located just a few meters from the main terminal building. There are currently around 845 parking spaces for private cars and a further 196 for car hire use. The parking charges are: €0.027466 per minute. Daily maximum up to four days €10.95. Daily maximum as from the fifth day, €8.75.
